Hey remember when Loki was an actually cool, well-written, complicated, 3-dimensional, layered, morally grey character who danced solidly between the lines of being a villain and a hero and whose own story had such rich potential to be an incredibly in-depth examination and deconstruction of growing up as the overlooked child, dealing with trauma, dealing with an emotionally and mentally toxic and neglectful family, falling to the dark side and then finding your way back to the light, and learning and knowing your own worth and knowing that no one else gets to determine whether or not you’re “worthy” (wtf does being “Worthy” even mean anyways? like who the fuck decides what “worthy” is and who gets to decide who is and isn’t worthy? Fuck that I call bullshit on that whole fucking system) of something based on some archaic arbitrary standards that are next to impossible to fill? And also that being a Trickster - a magic user, a tactician, a strategist, a rogue, someone who relies more on intelligence and cunning and stealth to defeat their enemies and not just brute strength, and who challenges the norms and questions the lines of morality society has drawn for us, placing us all in boxes and then punishing us for trying to break out of those boxes - is just as important and valid and should be celebrated just as much as being a big brutish hero who relies on their strength? (because newsflash: some of us were born more like Loki and less like Thor, and not only that, but some of us prefer to be more like Loki and less like Thor; least of all because magic is fucking awesome).

Remember when Marvel through all of that awesome characterization right the fuck out after TDW and we got stuck with…….. This? (*points at Thor 3 and The Loki Show*)

yes to everything but today especially the last part !! mobius pissed me off so bad in s02ep03 when he said “you’re a man of action, i take a more cerebral approach because i see everything, i notice everything” it’s literally the opposite? loki has been mocked his entire life for using his brain and his magic in battles rather than his strength? and always stopped thor from rushing into fights and tried to let him think/analyze the situation first

“thor, stop, and think. look around you, we’re outnumbered” (thor 2011)

“thor: how else could have i fought my way through a hundred warriors and pulled us out alive?
loki: uh, as i recall, i was the one who vailed us in smoke to ease our escape
thor: haha yes some do battles, others just do tricks” (deleted scene from thor 2011)

Wow, what a tool.

Seriously, Thor? that was your take away? Is it truly Loki who won’t change? Loki made pretty clear his feeling and motives and what Thor thinks what Loki wants is not to see him anymore. You know what, maybe Thor and Loki really shouldn’t be with each other.

“Sometimes people think they know you. They know a few facts about you, and they piece you together in a way that makes sense to them. And if you don’t know yourself very well, you might even believe that they are right. But the truth is, that isn’t you. That isn’t you at all.”

every time you assume that others are thinking negatively of you or judging you behind your back, you are bullying yourself through them. at the end of the day, you don’t know what thoughts are running through their heads unless they verbally express them to you. until then, every one of ‘their’ opinions about you is nothing more than your fear, and whatever assumption is born from your fear is yours to let go - not theirs to disprove.
